About the Series:
This series explores the relationship between art and music in a new, more immersive way, combining art exhibitions and lectures with chamber music concerts, highlighting the ways in which the same themes and ideas are expressed through the two mediums. Our goal is for every audience member to leave our concerts with a deeper understanding of art, music and the creative process. The concert series is made possible through a partnership between the Juliani Ensemble and Primitive Gallery, located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. Each concert features a pre-concert discussion that highlights artworks from Primitive's immense and diverse collection relevant to the selection of music.

I am so excited about this series! My sister Claire and I will be giving a few concerts in August that will combine her paintings with pieces of my repertoire. In the concert/art show, we will explain our ideas as to why we think each piece adds a new type of understanding or perspective to the other art form, and in doing so create a cohesive artistic experience. This is an idea we have had for at least two years, and finally it has come to fruition!
There will be three shows in total… come see us!
